JOHN E. TOMLINSON, practices primarily in the areas of wills, trusts and estates. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Gwinnett Bar Association. He is presently serving as County Administrator and Conservator for Gwinnett, Rockdale and Walton Counties. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Atlanta Law School, was licensed to practice in 1971, and has maintained his practice in Metro Atlanta since that time. Mr. Tomlinson has served as an adjunct professor at Atlanta Law School for five years teaching courses in Contracts, Wills and Trusts, Federal Practice and Procedure, Consumer Law and Consumer Lending. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Georgia, as well as the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit Courts of Appeal and the United States Supreme Court.
Throughout his career Mr. Tomlinson has been asked to speak at a number of seminars on the topics of Consumer Law and the rights of consumers, Bankruptcy Law, Guardianship Matters as well as Child Safety.
Mr. Tomlinson has also been influential in the area of Adoption Law. Due to his experience and dedication in this area, he has been instrumental in redrafting many of Georgia’s Adoption Laws in order to improve the adoption process in the state of Georgia.
In addition to serving the community at large, Mr. Tomlinson is also very active in his church. He is educated in Canonical Law and serves as Chancellor to Holy Cross Anglican Church.
